Miao embroidery · Stitched into the present

AETHNO

A living design house, beginning with clothing.

Beginning with clothing

A tradition carried forward.

Embroidery carries memory. Clothing gives it new movement.

AETHNO is a contemporary design house informed by Miao embroidery and silver ornament. We name the source, respect regional distinctions, and let the complete silhouette remain visible.

Silver follows the body.

Silver gives rhythm to the body. Embroidery gives structure to the cloth. Neither is reduced to decoration.

Every design begins with its source.

Miao embroidery was included in China's first national list of representative intangible cultural heritage in 2006. Techniques and meanings vary across communities and regions.

Our role is to credit the source and distinguish contemporary AETHNO designs from traditional heritage garments.
